Review: Makeup Revolution iconic lights & contour pro kit

April 29, 2017
Hey lovelies,
Today I have a a review of the Makeup Revolution iconic lights & contour pro kit. I got this palette two or so months ago and I must say its lived up to my expectations and has become a staple product I reach to every time I do my makeup. This palette is £8 and you can get it from TAM BEAUTY or superdug. I have heard this palette being refered to as a dupe of the NYX one however I haven't ever used the NYX one but i do know it is £18, so that means that the Makeup Revolution palette is £10 cheaper.

The packaging is very sturdy and is made out of good quality plastic, however unfortunately it has scratched but I don't mind so please ignore the scratch marks in the photos.  It's also very elegant packaging. The size of the pans is great (just smaller than a mac blusher although not as deep).

This palette would be perfect for pale/ fare complexions however could work for darker skinned complexions but would just need a bit more building with the product.

  • There are four bronzer/ contour shades which are all  extremely pigmented and all quite cool tones however two out of the four are more so cool toned and the other two are slightly warmer. When builded up they don't come across as 'muddy' which is a great bonus as i find on my complexion a lot of contour shades can look muddy.
  • There are two highlighters and they are less pigmented than the contour shades but are build-able and look so beautiful on the skin.
  • Lastly there is two setting powders which are again less pigmented than the contour shades and are a lot more chalky than both the highlighter and the contour shade. However the setting powders were long lasting which is definitely what I look for in a setting powder.

I will be repurchasing this palette again when I need a new one as for £8 you cant go wrong!
